Notes: Hardy's Anglers' Guides were the most comprehensive fishing tackle catalogues of their day. They portrayed all of the most up-to-date tackle in great detail, as well as many unusual items. They are indispensible aids for present-day collectors of fishing tackle. The traditional limp cloth binding of the earlier editions has been replaced by a larger format colour-printed card cover. The section of "hints" at the rear has been enlarged to include articles by Tommy Edwards, Fred Buller, Clive Gammon, Leslie Moncrieff, and a short piece, "Split Bamboo or Fibre Glass?" by Dick Walker.
