1986 1st English lang edn. Edicom, Inc. New York. Folio. Pp333. Colour plates of flies, colour photographs, bibliography. Elaborate and handsome full morocco gilt. Fine in slip-case. #10 of 50 signed "Edition Francaise".
Notes: Edited by Thomas W. Earnhardt, colour plates and illustrations by Gaidy and Earnhardt. A huge and comprehensive treatise on the Ephemeridae and their imitation. Includes a good section on rearing poultry for hackles and a comprehensive bibliography of flyfishing books in French. There were 3000 copies of the un-numbered trade edition in pictorial cloth. In addition to this there were 300 leather-bound copies, numbered and signed by the author. This copy is from the "Edition Francaise reserve aux bibliophiles tiree a 50 exemplaires numerotes de 01 a 50". Presumably these were extra to the total printing of 3330 copies as detailed on the limitation page of the trade edition. (I'm sorry this software does not allow the use of accents).
