Notes: Harcombe's defence of the use of terriers in badger control. Based largely on experience gained before the outlawing of this practice, this controversial book caused quite an outcry when first published in 1985. It attracted much attention when anti-field sports campaigners unsuccessfully attempted to prosecute Abergavenny bookseller Ray Lockyer for selling it. The scarce first edition has, on the title-page verso, "Fieldfare 1985. Printed by Glenside Printing, Wattstown, Porth, Mid Glamorgan, South Wales." The later reprint only has "Fieldfare 1985" with no mention of a printer.
