Notes: The author's name is given as "Kitt" on the spine, and Kett by Westwood and Satchell who observe; "A series of eight letters, but evidently incomplete. The commencement of a new series of this magazine in the following year, with a different style of contribution, may account for the abrupt termination. Kett was drowned, while bathing, in 1825. He was perpetual curate of Hykeham, Lincolnshire, and was eminent as a scholar and divine. The soubriquet of 'Emily' Kett was acquired by the publication of a novel with that title in 1809."
