"Profusely illustrated with magnificent photographs by Johnson. There is a stainless steel etching (4" x 4") set into the upper cover; this is a reproduction of a sporting scene by the English Master Engraver - Ken Hunt. It is an international game shooting work, and was marketed to the great and the good of the world's shooting fraternity, with many copies going to the USA, Australia, Spain, Portugal, etc." (Grayling). "The (De Luxe) Sponsoring Subscriber's Edition," Limited to 1000 numbered copies. * The limitation bookplate, signed by Johnson, Wannenburgh and publisher, Hans-Juergen Queisser, includes the printed name of the subscriber. In this copy (064 / 1000) it is Belton Kleburg Johnson. On the page opposite the Limitation Plate is a presentation inscription from the subscriber to "Peter - Remembering happy days at Chaparrosa." It was intended to also publish a trade edition of 4000 copies, but this was never produced.
