Notes: Essays on sport, mainly deer stalking, but including chapters on An Angler's Dream and That Big Trout. Many of the chapters were originally published in "Whitehall Review," "Land and Water" and "Longman's Magazine". There are two known bindings. Binding A is in grey cloth with a bull's skull and horns on the upper board. Binding B is in grey cloth with a trout leaping from water in black and mountains in the background in red on the upper board with a stag's head on the rear board. * Binding A. Formerly a poor copy, but has been rebound in grey cloth and original front cover (image of a bull's skull) has been laid on to the upper board.
