One of the most important and comprehensive books on entomology for the flyfisherman. First published in the prestigious New Naturalist Series in 1952, this reprint presents an inexpensive way of obtaining what is now a quite scarce book. The colour plates of the first edition are reproduced here in black and white. It is probably best used in conjunction with one of the modern photographic guides such as John Goddard's "Waterside guide" or "The trout flies of Britain and Europe," or Pat O'Reilly's "Matching the hatch".
