The first issue, "A", (as in the presentation copy dated June 1949) is in dark green cloth with a small gilt design (two swans) on the front. The dust-wrapper has a smooth finish.The second variant, "B", is trimmed slightly smaller, has a light green cloth binding with the same gilt design, and the dust-wrapper is of a coarser, matt-finished paper.
