This is the diary of the 17 year-old Denys Watkins-Pitchford, covering the year 1922, when he was at Northampton School of Art, but still living at home in Lamport. The original diary was hand-written with many sketches, as well as sporadic newspaper cuttings pasted in the margin. This printed edition has the text type-set, but inserts all the illustrations and cuttings in their original positions, as well as odd bits of text in 'BB's handwriting where appropriate. As with Confessions of a Coastal Gunner, this diary was given by 'BB' to Badger Walker, and has now been edited by Bryan Holden. Foreword by John McEwen, introductory essay by the editor. The ISBN printed inside the book is incorrect and is actually the ISBN for Holden's previous book, Faxton.
