A good overview of South African trout fishing in the 1970s and before. The author, partly influenced by the success of British stillwater trout anglers, advocates the use of floating lines, long leaders and imitative flies, as opposed to the sunk-line lure fishing that was traditional in South African lakes. Not dated. Curtis (2005) gives the date of publication as 1983, but the book contains many references to notable catches and the latest date listed is 1978.
