This is a new, re-set edition taken from the only known copy to survive. It is published jointly by Antony Atha and the Game Conservancy and limited to 500 numbered copies, with a new biographical and critical introduction by John Marchington. The Sportsman's Pocket Companion is a species by species guide to the natural history of the chief British quarry of the day. The first edition was published when the author was only sixteen. This new edition is limited to 500 numbered copies, and appears in a most satisfactory quarter leather, brown cloth binding, with a decorative gilt leather label to the middle of the front board.
