A series of thirty-one booklets on pets, small livestock and angling. This series are difficult to date. However the author of this booklet was not aware of Richard Walker's record carp from 1952, although he did advise the use of nylon monofilament line. It seems that publication of the series began around 1940 when Frank Ditchfield was based in Edinburgh. At some stage he moved to Chorley, Lancashire, and by about 1970 Ditchfield's British Books Ltd were based in Leyland, Lancashire.
