This edition includes a note by his son and daughter relating that following James Davenport's death this is the last publication; also that he was born 5th October 1877 and died 17th November 1945". "Includes tables of fish caught, weights, and notes on anglers and flies used. Extracted from author's diary and presented in similar form". Other names noted [in the series] include Sir Mervyn Manningham-Buller (1938), Lord and Lady Rushcliffe (1938), Sir Theodore Brinkman (1937) and Cecil Braithwaite of Grimersta fame (1945)". (Hunter).
