First published in 1994, Flytyer's Masterclass showcases the talents of British fly-tyer Oliver Edwards. Using his excellent knowledge of entomology and recognising specific characteristics of each species of fly he is creating, Edwards has developed his trademark of ultra realistic flies which are highly regarded for their near perfect imitation to the natural. Featuring patterns for the baetis nymph, ephemerella nymph, rhyacophila larva, and Klinkhamer special. For this new edition the Flyfisher's Classic Library has commissioned new photographs by Terry Griffiths which depict each fly in stunning detail. The first 20 of the de luxe edition, with Oliver's Signature Flies, sold out immediately at GBP 575.00. This is one of 100 copies, each one containing it's own presentation fly tied by Oliver Edwards mounted inside the front cover. The flies are those depicted in the Flytyer's Masterclass. Beautifully hand-bound in full Burgundy leather, all edges gilt, hand-marbled end-papers and raised bands on spine, and presented in a handsome velvet-lined slipcase with rounded top and bottom which shows off the fine binding beautifully.
