This book contains his views on chalkstream management, weed-cutting, restocking with mayfly, trout hatching etc., as well as his approach to fishing and his fly dressings, including the famous Lunn's Particular. "It contains chapters on fly life and the management of a fishery, on weed control and much information applicable to chalk streams in general. A book of quite unusual value and interest to trout fishermen and fishery owners." (Where To Fish 1934).
