These are omitted from the 4th and 5th editions which have extra vignettes of views. The author revised this before his death. The fourth edition was edited andenlarged by John Davy, his brother. Sir Humphry Davy was President of the Royal Society". It is distinguished by its scientific outlook, its serene Philosophy and extensive Information.
