"...Edited by Gerald Eades Bentley, with an introduction by Carl Otto v. Kienbusch, and explanatory notes by Henry L. Savage." This Flyfisher's Classic Library edition is taken from the second Princeton University Library edition of 1958. The second known book on angling in the English language, but the identity of its author was unknown until 1960. Included is an excellent explanatory essay by R.J.W. Coleby on the history of the book and the detective work involved in discovering the author; the 1960 article by Prof. Thomas P. Harrison revealing the author; and a letter from Kienbusch, the owner of the only known copy, to Prof. Harrison. The original book is shown in its entirety as a photographic facsimile.
