"John Bickerdyke" was the pen-name of Charles Henry Cook. The separate parts of this book have been frequently reprinted as separate volumes. They are "Angling for coarse fish", "Angling for pike", "Angling for game fish", and "Angling in salt edition with bookplate on the front paste-down stating: "We certify that only 201 copies of the Large-paper Edition of 'The Book of the All-Round Angler' were printed, and that this copy is the 65th. Each sheet was numbered as it left the press, and all sheets bearing the same number are bound together, thus insuring that each copy is throughout of the same John Bickerdyke, and the publisher, L. Upcott Gill. Throughout the book the sheets have been numbered 65 on the bottom edge of the page. The front paste-down also carries the armorial bookplate of Arthur E. Franklin, along with a former owner's signature (not Franklin) on the front end-paper.
