The title-page carries the date 1892, and the London publisher is termed "Sampson Low, Marston and Co. (Limited).

Allcocks supplied the tackle described (and, presumably, the engravings); W.J. Cummins supplied details of the English and "Scotch" trout flies; while those for Ireland were supplied by Thomas Gerrard. The author signs his Preface as Richard Niven, Chrome Hill, Lisburn.
