Pages 7 to 51 consist of articles by well-known angling writers: A Trout Angler's Reverie, by R.B. Marston; Pike And Perch Fishing, by Alfred Jardine; Loch Fishing, by E.M. Tod; Salmon Fishing, by Wm. Murdoch; Worm, Prawn, And Minnow Fishing For Salmon, by Andrew Murray; and Grayling Fishing, by Francis M. Walbran. Pages 54 to 74 cover the Artificial Fly Department and list Walbran's flies and casts of flies."Send three stamps (used for postage only) for a copy of 'Piscatorial Hints,' 190 pages, crown quarto, 200 illustrations. Send twelve stamps for a copy of 'Walbran's Angler's Annual,' 290 pages, crown quarto, 300 illustrations, and four splendid full-page views on the Wharfe, Yore, Eden, and Kennet."
