An account of stags killed at Langwell and Braemore with detailed measurements and many b/w photographs of mounted heads and antlers. Intended as a supplement to the Duke of Portland's earlier "Fifty Years and More of Sport in Scotland," which gave much background on the duke's management of the estates and attempts at improving the quality of the red deer. The account of the Flora of Caithness is given in an appendix. Additional notes on local natural history include a photograph of a 62lb cased salmon taken in the nets at Berriedale in 1894.
