A valiant endeavour to record editions of The Compleat Angler, with added information where available. "Being the most recent, the present list contains notice of a considerably larger number of editions than have previously been recorded...All of the valuable editions, which are generally assumed to be the rarest ones, will be found to have been dealt with.at more length than some of the less conspicuous editions...Where we have been able, we have shown at least one location for a copy of each edition." *The publishers recognised that the bibliography would inevitably become outdated, and provided an order form to enable the reader to keep their bibliography up to date for 5 years, for the princely sum of 35 cents, along with 16 perforated pages, presumably for readers to send in their own updates.
