This is Geoffrey Bucknall's autobiography, setting out why and how fishing became his way of life, from his rural upbringing in the Weald during the war, post-war National Service and his subsequent career as a laboratory technician, fishing tackle manufacturer and tackle dealer. Bucknall is, of course, the author of many well-thought-of books and innumerable articles in the angling press. A good read for all who know and admire the author's work.
