ATLANTIC SALMON FISHING. By L. James Bashline.
1987 1st edition. 4to (190 x 238mm). Pp223. Colour and b/w photographs, illustrations, greenish-grey end-papers. Brown boards, spine titled in gilt.
North American Atlantic salmon fishing techniques and flies, with a good section on fishing locations and outfitters*. This printing, or what purports to be the same printing, has appeared in two different dust-wrappers. The first is a largely brown, whole-page photograph of a leaping salmon, with the title in a very 1970's type-face. The second, more modern design, is blue with an inset photograph of a landed salmon with a fly in its mouth. The more recent dust-wrapper has a barcode printed on the rear which may have been the reason for printing it. This copy is the true first edition, with the original, largely brown dust-wrapper.
