Listing all British gunmakers from 1850 to the present. This is Geoffrey Boothroyd's very useful directory of gunmakers. The book grew out of information exchanged between Boothroyd and his readers (at a rate of 60 letters a month) during his decades writing for the Shooting Times. Invaluable. A computer error meant that the first edition was not fully alphabetical. This has been corrected in the revised edition. This edition, with its plain blue boards and blue Safari Press dust-wrapper, still states that it is the first printing of 1997. It is, however, a new (2000) re-issue. The dust-wrapper bears the ISBN 1571571574.
