# Eighty-two excellent colour plates excerpted by naturalist Tony Soper, from the Reverend Morris's History of British Birds. This was published in several volumes in the 1860s. Soper's text includes an introductory chapter and discussion of each plate of between half a page and four pages. The plates selected for this work are of British species of interest.
