There is the euphoria of a giant catfish safely landed, and the despair of an epic, but unsuccessful struggle against a mystery fish on a small chalk stream. This is not a dry, instructional manual - the author makes no pretence that it was written for any reason other than to entertain - yet there can be few coarse anglers who will fail to learn from his thinking approach to the sport".
