FISHING FOR BEGINNERS. By Maurice Wiggin.

(1953) 1958 revised edition. Small 8vo (110 x 182mm). Pp151. Illustrated with line drawings by W.J. Pezare, and with 8 half-tone plates based on those in Houghton's British Fresh Water Fishes. Green boards, spine titled in gilt.

A very good beginners' guide to fishing from the early fifties. Chapters cover float fishing, still water and stream, pike, spinning and fly fishing. The eight black and white plates (the dust-wrapper blurb incorrectly states there are six) are taken from Houghton's British Fresh Water Fishes.
