Essentially a how-to-do-it book on float-fishing for coarse fish and flyfishing for trout. The colour plates are taken from those used in Warne's Wayside and Woodland and Observer's books on freshwater fish. David Carl Forbes' line drawings, and especially, his delighful colour cover illustration of a perch, float and fly add a great deal to the book.
