The anonymous author observed that trophy collections seem to last about twenty-five years before being broken up and disposed of, and took steps to record the numerous collections currently in existence. The collections presented in this series are mainly in America, but collections in other countries are included. The owners of the collections range from keen amateur big game hunters to well-known professionals such as Kenneth Whitehead. This is the first volume in this handsome series.
