First published in 1898 by W.S. Partridge and Co., London, this is an undated inter-war edition issued by Dean and Sons in 1935. The gift inscription in this copy is dated 1937. Harry and Phra explore the Siam / Thailand of the 1830s, avoid getting eating by crocodiles and other wildlife, learn a lot about the country and numerous lessons of life (the locals are always right, when in doubt, do what they do, accept people how they are) and ultimately help foil large numbers of spear-wielding rebels.
