LETTERS TO YOUNG SHOOTERS. BY UNCLE RALPH.
ND (1939) 1st edition. 4to (190 x 255mm). Pp93. B/w illustrations by Maurice Tulloch. Brown cloth, spine and upper board titled in gilt, gilt vignette of partridges on upper board.
Sound advice on all aspects of shooting, illustrated with very good pencil sketches. Based on a series of articles in "The Field", which, in turn, were loosely based on Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey's "Letters to young shooters". Although "A very brief perusal of the contents of my book will show that it is in no sense intended to succeed that classic work". The publishers managed to mis-spell both Maurice Tulloch's name (as Tullock) and Payne-Gallwey's (as Payne-Gallway). Not in British Museum General Catalogue of Printed Books, or in Chute's bibliography.
