This is a memoir of the life of A.G. Street, by his daughter. A.G. Street was a farmer's son, journalist and author who took the countryside as his subject, much in the manner of his contemporary James Wentworth Day. A.G. Street was the author of many books and achieved a certain celebrity as a regular pannelist on Any Questions. The cover picture shows Street fishing which sport only appears tangentially in the book.
