"The only up-to-date treatise on falconry and hawking. Also additional chapters on the ecology of rare or little-known species of raptors only found in North America. Special chapter on breeding falcons and hawks in captivity". Contributors: Dr. James H. Enderson, Dr. Sterling Bunnell, Dr. Heinz Meng, Peter J. Asborno, Gene Johnson, Rod and Ellen Gehrlein, and Greg Thomas. This 1985 printing is the Silver Anniversary Edition. An important printing, described by John Swift as "...the first major revision" to the book "...with four new and important chapters... [and] seven new contributors." This edition is numbered on the title-page though no limitation statement is given. We have seen many copies numbered over 1,000 and so assume that around 1,500 to 2,000 copies were printed.
