REDFIN DIARIES: A LIFE IN THE YEAR OF A ROACH ENTHUSIAST. By Mark Everard.

2013 1st edition. 8vo (160 x 240mm). Pp223. Colour and b/w photographs and illustrations throughout. Burgundy cloth, gilt roach motif to upper board, spine titled in gilt.

A record of a year in the life (or, as Mark puts it, a life in the year) of an obsessive roach angler. Redfin Diaries is a celebration of roach. It is a special, often lyrical, record, drawn from the vivid experiences of its author, Mark Everard. It consists of, as the title suggests, a series of diary entries throughout the year, addressing some memorable roach captures, wonderful days spent by the waterside, and subsequent reflections by the fireside or during the closed season. Redfin Diaries is illustrated with a selection of images from the author's extensive archive of photographs, interspersed with his own line drawings of some of the things that have caught his eye when out spending time by the water. With a Foreword by British roach record holder, Keith Berry. The first 200 copies of the cloth-bound edition have a limitation bookplate, signed and numbered by the author. There is also be a de luxe leather-bound edition limited to only 35 copies (only 30 for sale), signed and numbered by the author.
