This is an in-depth study of the use of meat, in all its forms, to catch a variety of coarse species. Orme has a PhD in Freshwater Biology and part of his academic research included the scientific analysis of food preference behaviour. In this book the author shares his extensive knowledge of using meat baits and covers many subjects such as why fish do and don't feed, types of meat, creating specials, feeding with meat, presentation on the hook and tactical presentation. Best known as a keen barbel angler and founding member of the barbel society, Orme also has a long list of other freshwater specimens to his credit. A very useful and rather scarce title.
