This is a pocket-sized directory of information about angling, including lists of angling clubs and societies, riverboards and boards of conservators, close seasons and licences for a wide variety of rivers and waters. James Wentworth Day was a one-time "acting editor of The Field, and later editor of The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News and of The Saturday Review..." The bulk of his oeuvre covered field sports and countryside matters. This was his thirty-fifth book.
