Initially published in twelve fortnightly parts from January to June 1880. The individual parts were sold for sixpence. A fascinating collection of articles on angling history, bibliography, etymology, verse, folk-lore and natural history. Satchell published and edited this collection, though he is not cited as editor on the title-page.
