This book would appear to be a cheaper issue of The Book of the Red Deer and Empire Big Game. This issue comprises only of the first half of the book, the chapters covering red deer. The later chapters on big game hunting in Canada, Australia, Africa, India, Malaysia and elsewhere have been removed. The author's preface, in which he mentions the big game chapters edited by Hugh Gunn, remains unchanged.
