"Eddie Price was born on the 6th of October 1923. He and his brother Hugh started fishing as boys using cotton and worms to catch sticklebacks from waters local to Frocester Court Farm, their Gloucestershire home. As time went on carp were introduced to the reservoir on the farm and Eddie met the British carp record holder Bob Richards. It was through this meeting that Eddie went on to fish Redmire Pool and caught his 40lb'er in 1959. He also went on to catch specimen perch from local gravel pits. Eddie re-visited Redmire for an evening in May 2004 and brought along his fishing diaries and photograph's [sic] covering the years 1956 to 1962. This fascinating glimpse into a magical period in the history of angling is published here word for word and takes us back to mysterious waters and uncaught monsters." One of the most sought after carp angling books to be published in recent years. Only 500 numbered copies of this cloth-bound edition were produced. The foreword is by Chris Yates.
