The cover (matt laminated boards) represents a facsimile of an old leather-bound journal, complete with disintegrating spine. The publishers stated that this edition was limited to only 1000 copies. These sold out very quickly on publication. A second, revised, edition, titled The Horton Chronicles - The Banned Edition was published later in 2011. This, too, was limited to 1000 copies.
