Rev. Liddell describes his highly successful salmon fishing on the rivers Tweed and Earn in a number of long narrative poems, or "cantos." He initially wrote under the pseudonym "A Sexagenarian," but identifies himself in this first combined edition, "in four cantos," in 1884.
