This book was originally published in a quarto size with illustrations under the title of From Major to Minor". This edition occurs in two states; rusty-red cloth and light brown, embossed cloth. Both have the same waves and leaping salmon motifs. This copy has the embossed cloth. In this edition, the title of the final chapter "Envoi", is mis-spelled "Envol" at the head of page 216.
