Sunday 21st June 2020 - Too much choice!

Apologies for the lack of pictures on the website. We had accumulated thousands of images for the site, many of them duplicates. In an effort to make things run more easily we tried to delete the surplus ones and have finished without any at all. Stuck between two IT people, one for the website shop and one for the book database, we can't fix it ourselves and must wait until they come up with a solution. Here in Wales we are still not supposed to drive more than five miles, which basically would limit me to fishing the drought-ridden and fishless Dyfi. (We have missed the storms that have hit the rest of the country so the river is still dead low). However, by stretching the definition of local by a few inches, I have ventured as far as Aberdyfi and Llyn Clywedog. Clywedog is heaving with stockies, and Aberdyfi is heaving with school bass. I took Dewi to the coast a few days ago and he caught four schoolies, so he is keen to go again. And I had a couple of hours at Clywedog last week and came home with some welcome additions to our diet. The Llanbrynmair lakes and Bugeilyn are now open, so as restrictions ease I should be able to head for the hills more often. Yesterday I found the first field mushrooms of the  year, and this week we have a good forecast and reasonable tides for prawns and bass. Things are looking up!
